North Star District
Circle Ten Council
Boy Scouts of America
The North Star District is one of 28 districts within Circle Ten Council, geographically located around the Carrollton-Farmers Branch School district, plus a little area in Coppell. We currently serve close to 4,000 youth and young adults between the ages of 6 and 21. Today there are over 100 Cub Scout Packs, Boy Scout Troops, and Venturing Crews throughout the district. Each of these units is chartered by either a church, non-profit, or civic organization. Each of these units is supported by community and civic leaders as well as adult volunteers-parents who are dedicated to delivering the Scouting program.
There are three specific objectives, commonly referred to as the "Aims of Scouting." They are character development, citizenship training, and personal fitness. Every year several hundred Cub Scouts earn their Arrow of Light, the highest rank in Cub Scouts. For many years now, around 100 Boy Scouts have earned Eagle Scout Rank in the North Star District. The Circle Ten Council has averaged around 800 Eagle Scouts for the same period of time. Our goal is simple: Do the best we can in Changing Lives One Scout at a Time. By doing so, we will Make our Country Better, One Man at a Time.
